Sydna Masse, President and Founder of Ramah International is pleased to announce a new format for crisis pregnancy center training conferences that will make it more affordable for pregnancy care centers, churches, counselors, etc. In sponsoring these events, you will be blessing many who could never afford the costs to travel to another city or attend a two-day event.

Ramah International has trained over 6000 individuals world wide in various areas of pregnancy care and post-abortion ministry. Each sponsoring organization receives a free manual and registration. We request that the sponsoring center call other groups in the area to pre-register individuals so that a 30-person attendance goal may be reached. Ramah will provide a mailing list and contact information for these groups.

Seminar Costs:

Each attendee will need a manual and will contribute to meal expenses. In addition, a love offering will be taken to benefit the ministry of Ramah International. Normal seminar expenses range from $45 - $65 per person depending on conference location.

Reaching Abortion-Minded Men

Teaching Time: 2 hours

More abortion decisions are made in the locker rooms than in pregnancy centers. Fathers, boyfriends and brothers are all the forgotten influencers on a woman's abortion decision. This session with offer "how-to" for female life advocates to reach the male audience with a life perspective.

Comforting the Sexual Abuse Victim

Teaching Time: 2 hours

It is estimated that 85% of pregnancy center clients have been sexually abused. This session will outline the mind set of abuse victims, understanding their dysfunctional ways, and share specific ways to reach their hearts as well as helping them find wholeness and healing through Christ.

The Power of Regret: Post abortion Syndrome and the Abortion-Minded Client

Teaching Time: 2 ½ hour

Of the 43% of women who will experience abortion, 44% will go on to have multiple abortions. The power of denial comes into play as these women remind themselves over and over again that the abortion was the correct choice. Before too long, they are easy victims for the abortion industry over and over again. Yet God can bring them to your doors for the truth that can set them free from the shackles of that sin and bring their unborn child to birth. The testimony of the post-abortive individual has been one of the greatest tools in helping the abortion-minded make life decisions. The potential to regret this choice in the future is clear and the consequences are outlined specifically in these communications. But you don't have to be post-abortive to utilize this trauma in working with clients. In this booklet you will learn how to identify the personality of the abortion-minded and minister to them in their current circumstance. This is a great workshop for anyone involved in ministry to the abortion-minded!

It will then cover the emotions of healing - denial, anger, forgiveness, letting go, etc. After this you will then learn the details of group administration that includes: knowing when to refer to professional counseling, interviewing potential clients, advertising to new clients, dynamics of group discussion, etc.

Ministry Solitaire - Thriving in the "Aloneness" of Ministry Life

Teaching Time: 1 hour

Being involved in ministry - especially in the area of abortion - can be difficult because you are "set apart" and therefore will experience "alone" feelings in regular society. Topics addressed in this booklet include: What it means to be set apart; Godly fear and why it protects us; Elements to remember in walking alone; How to ride out the stormy times. If you have ever felt "alone" in your work, this workshop will help you understand that you are not alone and help you to cope and be encouraged in the Lord.

The Ties that Bind: Breaking Sexual Soul Ties

Teaching Time: 1 ¼ hour

Scripture is clear that when two people come together sexually, outside of marriage, the consequences can be greater than with other sins. It is in these situations where sexual "soul ties" are developed. In this workshop Sydna Masse will outline her own experience with breaking personal sexual soul ties. She will also address various topics that include: the dynamics of intimacy; steps to breaking sexual soul ties in your own heart and in the lives of pregnancy care center clients.

The Cross of Leadership: Survival Skills!

Teaching Time: 1 hour

When you are part of a ministry effort, leadership skills are necessary. While not an expert in Human Resource development, Sydna Masse has been equipping, encouraging and ministering to leaders for over a decade. In this workshop she offers basic principles to understand in running a ministry. Topics include: dynamics of staff/volunteer selection, embracing unpopularity, being on guard for false prophets, removing individuals from your team, and TLC for you! Whether you are just beginning or already running a ministry effort, this workshop will help you in many biblical ways.

When They Abort Anyway.

Teaching time: ½ hour

One of the leading reasons for "burn out" in pregnancy care centers is the discouragement that results when clients abort despite understanding the truth of this choice. In this workshop, Sydna outlines her own personal struggle in this area and offers insight into how to protect your heart and continue ministry when this grief attacks your heart. Topics include: the Lord's plan in tragedy, praising the Lord in spite of tragedy, establishing "comfortable memories," ministering to family members, withstanding their responses, and coping with the various emotions of grief. This is an excellent talk for anyone who works with individuals in crisis pregnancy situations.

Sharing the Secret of Abortion

Teaching Time: 1 ¼ hours

If "43% of women will experience abortion at least once by the age of 45 years" ('Facts in Brief: Induced Abortion, The Alan Guttmacher Institute January, 2000), why is it that no one ever hears these women talking about their abortions? Perhaps the greatest element preventing individuals from sharing the secret of their abortion with family, friends or others is the fear that their confessions will lead to judgment and rejection. Sydna's own personal calling from God to speak about her abortion is relayed in this talk along with many other topics. These include: when to share and keep silent, the steps to confession, determining the call to speak publicly, the disadvantages/advantages of sharing, preparing for the public event, and sharing with family members. Whether you are post-abortive or working with these individuals, this workshop will be an asset to your heart!

Help Wanted: Post Abortion Leaders who Aren't Post-Abortive!

Teaching Time: ½ hour

Many individuals who have never experienced abortion somehow feel unqualified to help the post-abortive. Other ministries actively discriminate against volunteers who don't have the "abortion" credential. As Sydna says often, "never be embarrassed of never having an abortion. The Lord's call and anointing is the only thing required to help our hearts." Topics of this talk include: how do you know you are qualified, the blessing of obeying God's call to PAS ministry, biblical role models, suggested experience, team players, workplace situation and job expectations. Whether or not you are post-abortive, this talk is a great recruitment piece for any ministry efforts.

The End of Innocence: Helping Wounded Teenagers

Teaching Time: 1 ¼ hour

If you are working with teenagers, this is a great booklet for you! Sydna Masse shares her own personal testimony of the Lord calling her, through Dr. James Dobson, to minister to teenage women at the Focus on the Family "Life of on The Edge" tour (1996-1998). While she felt unqualified, she found teenage ministry to be very gratifying. Later she will pull on this experience to help her stepdaughter give birth. Topics include: sharing your testimony with teens - the power of regret, ministering to the wounded teen, traumatized teens of the Bible, wounded parents and their children, providing teens with memories of love, general tips to working with youth, and helping them understand God's character. Ministering to the Extended Wounded - Grandparents

Abortion affects many more individuals that just the father and mother of the baby. Grandparents especially can experience this pain and in their struggle to minister to their children, often ignore their own need to grieve this loss. Through the testimony of "Karen," and her experience in post abortion ministry, this talk offers a guideline for ministering to the grandparents of aborted children. It is an excellent companion to any pregnancy care or post abortion ministry!

You Came to Me: Ministering in Prisons and Jails

Teaching Time : 1 hour

Sydna Masse currently serves Prison Fellowship as a team member of their "Operation Starting Line" coalition. This team has the express purpose is to reach every prisoner for Christ. Through initial ministry efforts, Ramah is seeing a 60-80% post abortion rate in women's correctional facilities in the United States. It's easy to see post abortion trauma on the face of today's female prisoner - many of whom are incarcerated due to drug related offenses (30%). Others are in prison due to prostitution and theft that normally relates back to paying for drugs. Still others are in for murder and child abuse. In this talk you will hear Sydna's personal testimony of how the Lord lead her to prison ministry and some ways that you can be involved in this vital ministry.

Go Ye Into All the World: Ministering on the Internet

The Lord was clear in scripture (Matt. 24:14) saying that He will return when every nation of the world has been reached with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Today there is one medium that is actively reaching every nation - the Internet. In this talk you will learn the practical application of ministry on this new medium and how the Lord can use you to save many lives from abortion through e-mail contact. This is a particular wonderful medium because many will contact you via e-mail who will never call or stop by your center. It's essential that Internet ministry become a part of every pregnancy center center's ministry. This workshop will enable your center to reach out into many new hearts in your community!
